On 4-5 November 2019, Univ.-Prof. Dr.-Ing. Christian Schindler, the director of the Institute for Rail Vehicles and Transport Systems, gave an overview of existing design principles and different types of powered and non-driven mainline railway vehicle running gears. In addition to conventional designs, controlled bodies and single-axis running gears are covered.
